Over two years work on this acreage nestled beside the Peel Estuary saw a number of garden beds created, including an entrance garden shaded by large trees which was planted with Cycads, Cliveas and Bromeliads. A swing for the grandchildren was strung from the bow of a Tuart tree, a nesting box installed high up its trunk. The verges beyond the gates were planted with indigenous species and staked with tree-guard sleeves to deter hungry kangaroos.
